6 - "no easy game"

The almost four-meter-high and almost 64-tonne steel sculpture "No easy play" by Ansgar Nierhoff stands on the Rothaarkamm as a surprising sign in the middle of the forest for the conflict between the regions of territorially, linguistically, culturally and denominationally separated regions Sauerland and Wittgenstein. A massive steel wall has been broken up into a large central gate, two smaller gates and two blocks. The viewer can see: all parts fit into each other, create an inside and outside and call for walking. The dialogue between the individual forms of the sculpture is multiplied by the dialogue with the surrounding space, nature. This contrast allows discoveries, comparisons and memories, different for each visitor. The so-called place, not far from a crossroads on old borders, allows hikers to participate in the commonality of the formerly divided regions and the overcoming of borders.
