This is a great way to get farther west out of the city while avoiding the main roads. There is a small section in the middle that is a fairly bumpy dirt road which might be important to take note of. Although it's a bit longer with some extra elevation, I'll probably take this way next time I tour out by TieJueShan as it definitely beats the long, straight main roads.
When it's not "fire prevention season" (Which is typically November through May), I'm sure you could find some good MTB routes along here too.
