Regional Nature Reserve, established in 2002, which preserves the largest wooded complex of the South East Murgia, between the territories of Martina Franca, Crispiano and Massafra. It is characterized by holm oak, Mediterranean scrub and oak wood dominated by downy oak and fragno. It represents the bikers' paradise of the area thanks to the presence of numerous trails, of varying technical difficulty, rather suggestive and which allow you to fully enjoy the beauty of this reserve. In local dialects and by the elderly the wood is still called Chianelle. The term derives from lama (of which the wood is rich), which in the local dialects can be indicated as chiana or chianura.
