The structure of four support stones, which form a small corridor, as well as a capstone was built in the Neolithic period and served the funeral of the dead. It is the best preserved megalithic tomb of Fehmarn, the so-called "Alverston" (also called "Alversteen" or "stot Havmann"). The burial chamber is one of the earliest of its kind and is called a "dolmen".

Not far from the coast in the southwest of Fehmarn, near Albertsdorf (between Strukkamphuk and Gold), you will find Fehmarn's best-preserved megalithic tomb, called "Alverston" or "Alversteen". It is a so-called dolmen. Due to its proximity to the coast, it used to serve as a navigation mark and was therefore not allowed to be removed.

Beautiful archaeological megalithic tomb. Not far from the beach between Gold and Strukkamphuk. A detour here is definitely worthwhile and a board explains everything worth knowing.
