KZ Sachsenhausen Memorial - Falkensee Outpost Since October 1943, between 1,600 and 2,500 prisoners, mostly French, Poles, Russians and Norwegians, were crammed into 9 barracks, the so-called "blocks". They had to do forced labor in the nearby armaments factory. Sick and "unusable" inmates were transported to Sachsenhausen and murdered there.
