A tiring climb (from the Eden valley) but totally worth it for the stunning views. Wear some good footwear! There are quite a few chunky rocky sections and wet boggy parts of the path.

Approached from Cow Green Reservoir and descended to Dufton - hard going approx mile either side of High Cup Nick on gravel bike, at least for my bottom of the class off road skills, but position is stunning.

High Cup Nick is an absolute must. What a beautiful and impressive place, although it is difficult to reach by bike. The paths to here are all grassy, stony and muddy. You'll need to allow plenty of time for the ride (or hike-a-bike) to High Cup Nick, but it will be worth it if you have the time.
