The "Grootsche Huus" is an original Fehnhaus from the 18th century.
It is located in the center of Ihlowerfehn and is one of the most popular destinations in Ihlowerfehn. Time stands still in the historic rooms of the old Fehnhaus. Learn something about the old East Frisian crafts and take in the preserved traditional furnishings of the brick building. The "Grootsche Huus" is an ideal place to enjoy a tea or coffee break with homemade cake in a cozy atmosphere in the rustic tea room. The popular destination is open to visitors on Saturdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sundays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
