I was amazed recently when the cyclist disappeared from the rock, that was around September 2021. Small goat field without Claudius, no go, that doesn't work at all and so the world in the goat valley was all right again when I cycled through the beautiful valley in October 2021 and Claudius could be seen on his rock again. That's how it should be.

The statue may have been erected to commemorate the times when the Kleinziegenfelder valley was primarily visited by cyclists.

According to another theory, it was intended to serve as a counterpart to the guns and dragoons that stood on rocky outcrops elsewhere.

After a third explanation, a cyclist wanted to cross the valley over a bridge that was long gone. But since he didn't want to turn back either, he's still standing on the rock today.

The latter is more of a legend...
