Serene atmosphere, very pleasant for a walk. Surprisingly many young visitors who are serious about religion as a part of their identity. An Orthodox Christian service is a mystical experience, more so than a Catholic one. Try to attend one rather than just scouting the churches from an architectural point of view.

Curchi Monastery is one of the most important monuments of Bessarabian architecture. It is located in Codrii Orheiului, on the territory of Curchi village, Orhei district. It was established as an architectural ensemble in the 18th - 19th centuries. It consists of five churches, two buildings with cells, a stable, several auxiliary rooms, an orchard, a hermitage with an archondaric located 500 m from the Monastery and a stone pool.
