Hofi Pastor is about a 40-minute drive from Willemstad near the small town of Barber. At the beginning of the park is a small house, where you have to ring a bell. Then a park ranger arrives, to whom you have to pay a few Antillean guilders as an entrance fee.
Hofi Pastor is actually a large, overgrown orchard. In the past there were many more of these types of hofis on Curacao, but most of them have disappeared or have completely expired. Hofi Pastor you can still visit! Around 1830 this orchard was bought by Pastor Niewindt, who wanted to found a small church there and after whom the area is now named.
In the park there is the oldest tree of Curaçao, a kapok tree of about 800 years old, the roots run like wooden walls above the ground
