The prominent rock formation "Tourles" can be reached from the Parthenonas as well as from Mylos, Marmaras on circular paths.
The association "Sithonia-trails" (website) has created or identified well-marked hiking trails with small signposts, sprayed-on color markings and piles of stones. Most of the paths cannot yet be displayed as routes on Komoot. But they exist and are cared for. One of these trails describes my return route from Tourles. Because the hinterland of Marmaras is rugged and steep (many almost vertical rock faces and gorges), hiking here is generally quite strenuous for "non-alpinists". The said Sithonia trails run in spite of some climbing levels in a resourceful way on an ideal incline between the clefts and along the slopes.
