Embassament de Guadalest, the Guadalest reservoir, is certainly one of the most famous reservoirs in the area from Torrevieja to Alicante. Thanks to the beautiful castle in Guadalest with the even more fantastic view of the reservoir, this lake is known to many people and is a very popular tour destination.

Excellent! The tour around the reservoir is a real highlight! 👌🚴‍♀️👏 The path leads around the entire reservoir, and the Castell Guadalest can be viewed from all sides. The route around the lake can either be started over the dam and followed the path along the water or the tour can be started in the mountain village of Beniardá.

The view from the dam of the Embassament de Guadalest is truly impressive! From there you can see the turquoise water of the reservoir, framed by the surrounding mountains. The landscape is characterized by the steep rock faces and lush vegetation of the Sierra de Aitana. The picturesque village of Guadalest with its castle sits at the top - a perfect place for a photo!
