A gate leads to the inner courtyard of the castle square (Place de St.-Chamond). To the left behind the archway is the Hartmann House - the name of which comes from its last private owner - which was built as a former winery building in 1724. The city acquired the house in 1977 and converted it to today's standards while maintaining the architectural style. The furnishings in the Aachen-Liège style were retained.
