Lake Tovel is the largest of the natural lakes of Trentino and one of the naturalistic jewels of the Adamello Brenta Natural Park. It is located at the northernmost point of the Brenta Dolomites and is surrounded by the Campa massif.
The blue color of the water, with a depth of 39 meters, is unmistakable and fades to emerald green as you approach the shore. The contrast becomes more evident as the water approaches the white beaches, a color due to dolomite dust.

Great lake, certainly accessible to tourists, but not as bad as some other well-known gems in the Dolomites. It is also possible to cool off briefly in the lake.
Currently, some of the paths are damaged by heavy mudslides.
