Bergen, in margrave property, is owned by the Bishop of Havelberg.

The margraves Otto u. Albrecht of Brandenburg donate the village with Bailiwick and Church of St. Mary to the Counts of Barby.

The Earl Brothers of Barby sell this property to the Teutonic Knights. The German Order of Knights founded a Commandery in the same year.
