The Vilstalsee is a reservoir and flood retention basin on the Vils, around 4 km downstream from Frontenhausen and around 1 km upstream from Reisbach, in the municipality of Marklkofen, immediately south of the towns of Steinberg and Warth. The landowner is the Free State of Bavaria.
