The Scala Dei Turchi is located in Realmonte, shortly after Porto Empedocle.
Different access points to La Scala, directly via a staircase that leads down to the nearest beach or arriving on foot from the neighboring beaches.

The Scala dei Turchi ("Staircase of the Turks") is a monumental rock made of marl near the municipality of Realmonte in the free municipal consortium of Agrigento in the south of Sicily. Radiant white and reminiscent of bizarre steps, the place has become a tourist attraction. The second part of the name is said to go back to Saracen pirates, who were popularly called "Turks" and who are said to have anchored their boats in the slipstream of the rock during raids. According to another theory, the name is said to be due to the similarity of the structure to the formations in Pamukkale (Wikipedia).
