The city hall Pankow is the administration building of the former municipality Pankow and / or the Berlin city district (1920-1990), now seat of the district council meeting (BVV) of the district Pankow. The original building was built in 1901-1903 to designs by Wilhelm Johow in a mixture of various architectural styles typical of the beginning of the 20th century, such as Neo-Gothic, Neo-Baroque and Art Nouveau elements. Its exterior was made conspicuous by the use of red clinker brickwork to veneer the brick building. On the corner of Neue Schönholzer Straße it received an extension from 1927 to 1929 according to plans by Alexander Poeschke and Rudolf Klante. This was adapted to the first construction, above all in the storey height. The city hall is located in the Breite Straße 24a-26 near the S-Bahn station Wollankstraße. The entire complex has been a listed building since the 1970s. {Wikipedia}
