Tucked away in a small valley, this seaside resort, despite being devoid of anything resembling a harbour, still housed a seafaring community. Until the 1970s, Yport fishermen used so-called kaïks (beach boats designed to be pulled over boulders). Now some specimens have appeared on the beach again, but more for folklore than fishing. The village shows a beautiful architectural unity and a charm that is partly the result of the relatively few tourists, nevertheless there is a casino here.
