A beautiful valley, also to be enjoyed by bike. On the ascent you have time and leisure to let your eyes wander. On the descent you have to watch out for stones and roots too much. Not a good trail for narrow tires.

The "Aubachtal bei Langenaubach" stretches along the eponymous Aubache between the towns of Langenaubach and Rabenscheid. The near-natural brook floodplain system comprises a well-developed riparian forest of bird cherry and ash stocks with rare species such as the blue monkshood as well as a varied grassland mosaic made up of tall herbaceous vegetation, reed and sedge swamp communities, flowery wet, fresh and fat meadows that contain a large number of endangered plant species accommodate. In the western slope areas there are species-rich white oat-gold oat meadows, whereas on the steep slopes to the east of the Bachtal valley, near-natural beech forests with lush herb flora of toothwort, woodruff, fox-ragwort and whorl-leaved white root grows. The linking of the different biotopes also offers a diverse animal world a varied habitat. The "Aubachtal near Langenaubach" is of particular importance for the bird world. The endangered bird species whinchat, meadow pipit and dipper breed here. In addition, there are numerous birds that visit the nature reserve to forage. The colorful meadows and the natural stream also attract many butterflies and dragonflies.

The Aubachtal is simply beautiful at any time of the year. You can't get enough of the landscapes. It houses many rare plants and animals (they are rarely seen).
