                  Nice location taken over by Witthüs e.v., who restore the whole object in loving work completely to the origin, and create a wonderful ambience.

                                        An original fortification from the Iron Age on the Wittekindsberg.
                                        The original fortification “Wittekindsburg” dates back to the Iron Age and was built over 2000 years ago. In 1893, a house, pub and stable were built from the remains of the foundations of the real castle. This developed into a tourist attraction and an important hiking destination. Just 5 years later, the house was demolished and the current building, a castle-like restaurant, was built on the same site.
                                        This entire building complex with its half-timbering and the striking tower, which can be easily recognized from the surrounding valleys, is now a listed building.

                                        The restaurant offers hikers a good place to stop and take a breather. In addition to refreshing themselves with delicious food and drink, you can enjoy a wonderful view of the valley from the Wittekindsburg.
