"The fable fountain on the village square in Böchingen is reminiscent of the Kammertbau, a type of education in viticulture that was also cultivated in Böchingen (18th to the beginning of the 20th century). On one of the pillars is Armor, who with his arrow takes the leap into the new millennium symbolizes (1999 to 2000) and also stands for life and love. Fuchs and Hahn stand for cunning as well as alertness and pride and also for the village population of Böchingen. The trickle of water illustrates the flow of time and that something new arises through movement.
The fountain was designed and built in 1999/2000 as part of the redesign of the village square by Burghard Knauf and Daniel-Moritz Lehr. Since then, the village square has served as a meeting place and venue for many village festivals. "
