    There are several starting points for exploring the valley. Parking is available between the Geisingen and Beihingen districts of Freiberg at the municipal recreation and figure grove (adventure playground with grill) and in the area of the "Fischerwörth" sports complex on the Ingersheim district. Additional parking spaces are located directly on the state road between Freiberg and Pleidelsheim on the Neckar Bridge Path on the left side of the Altneckararm is part of the main hiking trail 10 of the Swabian Alb Association (Stromberg-Swabian Forest Trail) as well as the regional cycle route.

    Between the Neckar Canal and Altneckar, other paths invite you to go for walks. You will pass the gliding area, the nature reserve Pleidelsheimer Wiesental and through the floodplain directly along the border of the nature reserve Altneckar. Three information boards between Freiberg and Ingersheim explain the floodplain landscape to the visitor. On the southeastern bank of the quarry lake, an observation platform with information boards invites you to explore the bird life. The viewpoint is accessible from the way.
