A popular destination on Sundays. When the weather is nice, long queues at the ice cream parlor and bike pushed a bit far because everyone likes it so much on the Danube 😁nice bike paths

The gate is the most beautiful part of the whole complex. The Burgberg is probably the place with the most history in all of Vohburg. After the Vohburg was finally destroyed by the Swedes in the Thirty Years' War, Vohburg's heyday was over and it was called "Markt" again. It was not until 1952 that Mayor Hierhammer raised Vohburg back to the status of a "city" because of its historical past and urban character.

The gate is located on the north side of the city near the banks of the Danube. The path used to lead north through this gate with a wooden bridge over the Danube.
The "Great Danube Gate" was built in 1470. The gate is a three-story gate tower with a two-and-a-half-story gable roof. The gate has been changed several times over the centuries, especially on the inside. The last renovation took place in 2008. The tourist office was briefly located here. Today it houses the city archives.
