Welcome to Pangea!
Thuringia is a dinosaur land. The first ever described dinosaur fossil, the "brute", was found as early as 1706 in a copper shale mine on the edge of the Thuringian Forest. Also, the first scientifically named dinosaur track, the handbag and one of the first large predatory dinosaurs come from Thuringia.
A worldwide unique dinosaur site is the Bromacker between Tambach-Dietharz and Georgenthal. Unique to the Bromacker is that both the tracks and complete skeletons of the trace producers were found here.

20 dinosaurs, each with an information board, inspire visitors from Georgenthal via the "Bromacker" dinosaur site to the Lohmühle. very well signposted and good for the juniors. Good walkability, even with a stroller. At the end, a steam locomotive is waiting for the curious.
