        New city park
        The large city park and "green lung" of the city of Ried was gradually established after the Second World War in the floodplain of the Breitsach. Thanks to constant improvements in the paths and planting, it is now a particularly valuable local recreation area for the people of Ried. In addition to many places to linger (benches, secluded spots on the banks), 2 artificial ponds and one of the most beautiful playgrounds in Austria are worthwhile destinations for walkers and cyclists at the weekend.

        The city park is well accessible from all sides thanks to its central location and invites young and old to be active in the fresh air. In addition to long walks, a fitness course also provides the appropriate motivation to spend time in this green lung of the city. For visitors interested in botany, the signage for the trees recently installed by the beautification association also offers an insight into the extraordinary diversity of the tree population in the new city park.
