The manor house / manor house of the former Selchow manor is registered under the name "Landhaus Selchow" in the list of monuments of the state of Brandenburg; in more recent times (as of 2013) it is increasingly referred to as "Schloss Selchow". The country house was built in 1913 by the architect Alfred Breslauer for the banker Paul Mankiewitz. [12] The neo-baroque plastered building with a three-axis central projection is located under a mansard hipped roof in a two-hectare garden. After Paul Mankiewitz died on his Selchow estate in 1924, the house passed to his sons. During the Nazi era, the Jewish Mankiewitz family was forced to sell the estate and emigrated to Argentina and Great Britain. In the GDR era it first housed an LPG, then the consumer, then a bank and finally the children's holiday camp of the Eisenhüttenstadt meat combine.

The house had been empty since 1991 and was most recently dilapidated. In 2012 it was acquired by Christoph Kamps, who runs an agency for brand communication in Berlin and New York, and by his wife Susanne Groß, actress at the Mecklenburg State Theater in Schwerin. Since 2013, the couple has had the facility renovated and restored with their own and EU funds under the name “Schloss Selchow”. The new owners want to make the house accessible to the public as a cultural and event location. For example, bicycle groups, yoga courses and workshops are being considered. The investment is not aimed at making a profit, rather the owners, according to their own statements, want to bring a piece of history to life again and bring people closer to nature again, who are concerned with nature and sustainability.
