At the heart of the Regional Natural Park of the Baronnies provençales, 5 km south-west of Laragne, the road that winds for ten kilometers through the Gorges de la Méouge, between Châteauneuf de Chabre and Barret sur méouge, connects the Drôme Provençale with the Hautes- alps. This turquoise river winds its way through a deep gorge, rich in vegetation, beautiful waterfalls and pebble beaches, bathed in sun and warmth. Named one of the beauties of the Hautes-Alpes, the Gorges de la Méouge are known for its swimming and hiking opportunities... as a nature reserve, it is one of the pearls of the Sisteron-Buëch.
