On September 29, 1972, a plane crash occurred in Domaniewice. The pilot of the LiM-2 aircraft, Lt. Walerian Józefaciuk (61st Aviation Training and Combat Regiment), probably as a result of losing spatial orientation in flight, at night, in difficult weather conditions, collided with the Earth.
