Great to look at, the waterfall is even more impressive from below. We didn't have to wait long and it wasn't too crowded, even though it was a Thursday.

Niagara Falls, Ontario: Typical example of when a picture worth more than words. Everything there is built around the falls, the river. Very good tourist infrastructure.
The Niagara River Parkway has a dedicated trail along it for safe pedestrian and cycling which goes all the way to Niagara on the Lake.
