A visit to a fish / meat market typical of Greenlandic communities is part of every travel program. One should be aware that the Greenlanders see themselves as meat eaters. Fish, whale, seal and meat from musk and reindeer is pretty much the only naturally available food, especially in the northern regions. All other foods are mostly imported from Europe.
