I find churches quite pretty, but somehow superfluous. What could have been done with the resources used in construction for the benefit of mankind? How many schools, libraries, universities?
The church was built on the initiative of the Jesuit order, who returned to Cieszyn at the end of the 19th century. The building itself was built at the end of the 19th century. Inside are the relics of St. Melchior Grodziecki - a Polish Catholic priest.
