Empress Elisabeth is said to have drunk this water during a trip to the Vienna Woods. According to tradition, she wanted this water to be used to make her coffee. The emperor named this source the origin of the Vienna River and the source was appropriately named "Kaiserbründl". Unfortunately, water no longer flows here, it just drips very slightly.
North of the Kaiserbrunnberg collects the water, which forms at an altitude of 520 m, first the drought Vienna and then the Wien River. The source of the river Wienfluss is said to have visited Empress Elisabeth during her walks on April 23, 1884 (commemorative plaque).
