If you drive up the slope from Elbersroth to the chapel at the edge of the forest, you will come to a beautiful garden. Here you can admire the variety of vegetables, herbs and fruit trees, but also the ornamental plants that grow with us.
The Kräuterlehrgarten is located on the outskirts of the village Elbersroth and offers a magnificent view of the valley of the Wieseth and the village. It is framed by the Lourdeskapelle, an old scattered fruit tree, Hutungsflächen and forest pieces.
The garden was created in memory of the here acting village priest Ludwig Heumann, who experimented diligently in his laundry and developed numerous herbal remedies and treatments.
At the heart of the facility is an extensive collection of medicinal herbs described on accompanying signs.
