A mighty tree grew up at the Wolgastsee. At first it was quite inconspicuous, but it quickly became more and more handsome. Every year it grew taller, its foliage lusher, and its branches stretched toward the sky in all their beauty. Every self-respecting bird tried to build a nest in the most beautiful tree in Wolgastsee. At some point that got to the tree's head, or rather, to the branches. He constantly admired his own reflection in the lake and always sought confirmation of his appearance from his peers. At some point the other trees could no longer hear it and complained to the boss of Wolgastsee. But he didn't want to hear about it. Calm down and sort it out between yourselves, that's all he said. So the trees turned to the tree god. He listened to the complaints and decided to punish the vain tree. He put a curse on him and the once sturdily tree lost all its foliage and became an ugly, bare tree. There he is now and can't believe it. He keeps looking into the water, but the picture doesn't change.
Then he grew calmer. Softly he said: Please forgive me, I didn't behave properly. Two trees took pity on him and stood by his side. They want to help him and asked the tree god how to avert the curse. He says there is a purple magic wand. If a person is found who wants to redeem the cursed tree, he should look for the magic wand and return to the tree. and say "Ubpuzhg xbzzg ibe qra Snyy" 3 times while waving the staff from left to right. If the tree has a pure soul in the meantime, it is also redeemed.
