Kislau Castle is located on the Bad Mingolsheim district in the municipality of Bad Schönborn, on the Heidelberg-Karlsruhe Rhine Valley Railway. Today it is used as a correctional facility. The name Kislau comes from the old word Kislowe, which means something like "pebble meadow".
