A great climb for beginners, a long, linear route with small, tight corners, ideal for maintaining speed on the descent. There's some traffic, but the road is wide enough and people generally take care when approaching; I never felt unsafe. If you're feeling strong, you can take this climb as a warm-up for Semnoz, which connects perfectly to the summit of this climb.
Disadvantage: There are no views from the top.
