Gamburg is located in the Tauber Valley. The pretty spot is best known for its castle of the same name, which towers high above the town. Although the castle is privately owned and permanently inhabited, it can be visited.
From the first weekend in April to the first weekend in November, Gamburg Castle is always open on Sundays, Saturdays and public holidays from 2 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. Admission costs 3 euros, a guided tour costs 6 euros.
