From Oulx the climb up to the Cotolivier is regular, even monotonous, since the entire section is one road, first paved and then dirt. From the chapel instead begins a nice stretch of single-track (S1) on the ridge, which offers splendid views both on the nearby Clotesse massif and Mount Chaberton, and on the Susa valley. At the Purachet pass you meet again the dirt road coming from Vazon, which continues almost flat above a mountain pasture (there is also an uncontrolled water supply point ...) After about 1 km the road becomes a nice path, in the middle coast with some uphill stretches, which reaches under the Clotesse peak and offers other excellent panoramic points. Where the descent path begins (very fun hairpin bends), adding about two hundred meters in altitude you can go up to the Croce di S. Giuseppe on a beautiful single-track cycle path even uphill. From the Croce di S. Giuseppe you will enjoy an unforgettable view both on the nearby points of Clotesse and the Grand Hoche, and on the Susa valley!

Nice circular tour starting from Oulx, passing through Madonna del Cotolivier and then Lake Desertes (now dry), and then descending towards the mule track that goes up towards Chaberton
