Follow the railings beside the reservoir and you join a footpath through a spectacular wood. Trickling waterfalls flow between ferns, old oak trees and bright green mosses – it's truly a fairytale forest. The path leads alongside a brook and then joins the River Dart. There are huge, flat rocks that are perfect for sunbathing. The Dart forms lots of small pools divided by gentle rapids where you can swim. This is a perfect spot on a hot day, but it can be busy so arrive early to get the best spot!
