In the idyllic Swabian Donaumoos near Günburg, about 20 km east of Ulm, you will find the ostrich farm Donaumoos - one of Germany's largest ostrich farms. The ostrich
The ostrich (Struthio camelus) is an African bird of passage. In the wild, it mainly inhabits the African steppe in South Africa and Namibia.

With its 2.5-3m head height and a live weight of up to 150kg, it is the largest bird on earth. With his strong legs, he can reach a running speed of about 70 km / h.

Ostriches can turn 60 years old. They have been bred in Africa for more than 150 years because of their feathers. And in this country they enjoy since the early 90s more and more popularity.
