When hiking through the forests of Jasmund National Park, you might come across hunting stones – old markers from the days when forestry still had fixed boundaries. You'll find one of these stones right here, next to the simple seating area.
These square stones are engraved with numbers and mark different forestry divisions, called "jagen." In the past, they helped foresters navigate; today, they tell the story of forestry in bygone times.
