"Mon aise", French "my leisure" or "my ease" was the summer residence of the later Trier Domprobst Philipp Franz Graf von Walderdorff. Built in 1779-1783 in the style of French early classicism or Louis Seize, it is today one of the few examples - according to plaque on the castle itself, even the only - example of this style on German soil.

The castle is located directly on the cycle path on the west side of the Moselle. Today there is a restaurant of fine cuisine. Although this is not suitable as a stop for a snack, the castle itself is very nice to look at and to combine with a tour along the Moselle super.

The early neoclassical palace, which is historically closely linked to Zewen and to today's Zewen district of Oberkirch, was built by François Ignace Mangin in 1779-1783 as a summer residence for the Trier cathedral dean and later Prince-Bishop of Speyer, Philipp Franz Wilderich Nepomuk von Walderdorf. It was built as a pleasure palace with large representative rooms on the first floor, a simple upper floor (for the servants) and a large terrace and staircase and is surrounded by a park. For this purpose, Oberkirch's "sister village" Niederkirch was demolished.
