For 🍀 there is a big stone in front of the bench, because otherwise small people hardly have a chance to sit down. The view on a clear day is excellent.
In September 1996, the Ipsheim wine hiking trail "Burg Hoheneck", which includes all of the vineyard trails, was officially opened with the first wine hiking day. This novelty in the Middle Franconian wine-growing region was intended to appeal to hiking enthusiasts and lovers of Franconian wine alike. Along the trails through the Ipsheim vineyards, information boards provide information about the grape varieties on the opposite side, about natural wine-growing, the soil relief and about Hoheneck Castle, which is owned by the city of Nuremberg. The well-tended vineyards invite you to exciting hikes all year round.
