Little Doward Iron Age Hill Fort stands atop a peaceful and pretty hilltop with fine views over the Wye Valley. During the 20th century, the fort was buried beneath a large conifer plantation. However, this has since been cleared and now the area is rich with many varieties of wildflowers and summer fruits including blackberries and wild strawberries. Nearby, there are caves to explore and the woodland that surrounds the fort is stunning.

Beautiful little location, replete with its multivallate, Iron Age Hill Fort, with its trig pointed top. There is a good car park at the bottom of the hill, just off the A40. To get to the top you have a nice easy, woodland hike.
