The Innerste Dam is a dam in the Innerste region, located in the northwest of the Harz Mountains between Langelsheim, Wolfshagen, and Lautenthal. It was built between 1963 and 1966 and belongs to the Harz Waterworks. Its purposes are drinking water supply, flood protection, low-water elevation, and power generation. The average annual discharge of the Innerste Dam is 60 million cubic meters.
