The Enzo e Dino Ferrari racetrack, commonly known as the Imola racetrack, is an automobile circuit located in the municipality of Imola, in the metropolitan city of Bologna.
It owes its initial notoriety to motorcycling, in particular with the 200 Miglia di Imola held between 1972 and 1985. As for the World Championship, it hosted seven editions of the Grand Prix of Nations between 1969 and 1988, all four editions of the City of Imola Grand Prix from 1996 to 1999, and two editions of the San Marino Grand Prix in 1981 and 1983. Since 2001 it has almost permanently hosted the Italian stage of the Superbike World Championship.
As for cycling In the cycling field, the racetrack hosted the start and finish of the road world championships on two occasions: the first in 1968, with victories among men by the Italian Vittorio Adorni and among the women by the Dutch Keetie van Oosten-Hage, and the second in 2020 with the affirmations of the French Julian Alaphilippe among the men and the Dutch Anna van der Breggen among the women.
In 2021 it was also the crossing point of the "Giro d'itala U23" (2nd stage Riccione - Imola, with the victory of Juan Ayuso) and also of the "race in elite men" (Sunday 20 June) on the occasion of the Italian championships of road cycling that will take place between Faenza, Imola and Bellaria Igea marina
