The Nuremberg Gate (built in 1698) (more precisely, this is the inner Nuremberg Gate) is the only surviving city gate of the bastionary fortress Forchheim. This gate was additionally protected by an upstream outwork in which the "outer" Nuremberg gate was located. Due to the demolition of most of the fortress, the gate is now free.
