Officially this trail is closed, but unofficially it's very much open and well used! This particular spot is MAGNIFICENT for sunset (take a headlamp with you however for the return!). Park at the first view point parking driving up from Noordhoek side. Walk along the edge of Chapman's Peak drive (towards the sea) and about 100m from the parking look out for a trail DESCENDING to your left. Opposite this, on the upslope side is another trail. Take this trail. Follow this until you see the Chapman's Peak main view point and then settle down to gawk at the view! If you continue up you will summit Chapman's Peak and then you could descend the Northern slopes to gain the Hout Bay side of Chapman's Peak drive.
