The Dennenloher See is definitely worth a visit in the summer, because it enchants not only with its location in beautiful nature, but also with the offer of activities on the lake and gastronomy.
Around the lake there is a beautiful forest that provides cool shade on hot days when cycling. On the lake itself, the large lawns on the shore invite you for a swim break, where you can relax in the grass and cool off in the fresh water. To satisfy the small or big hunger, there is a kiosk and several restaurants on the lake.
"In terms of tourism, the lake is part of the artificially created Franconian Lake District and is its smallest still water. Unlike the larger lakes in the group, it does not serve to supply the northern Bavarian water shortage area through the Danube-Main crossing.
Since the Altmühlsee and Kleines Brombachsee went into operation, the Dennenloher See has been less frequented. It is interesting for anglers and hikers. There is a campsite on the shore.
The lake lies on the Limesweg of the Franconian Alb Association, a section of the German Limes hiking trail. "
